Thank you for your interest in contributing to the California Plug Load Research Center.

How your support makes a difference:

The California Plug Load Research Center (CalPlug) at the University of California, Irvine has a mission to advance energy-conscious plug loads for how people work, live, and play. We are committed to doing our part to address this small but important part of the world’s climate change challenge.  CalPlug focuses on energy efficiency solutions, evaluations of individual devices to building-wide control systems, standards development, education, public outreach, and user behavior studies. The center addresses the challenges in plug load efficiency for both residential and commercial buildings by collaborating closely with utilities, manufacturers, advocacy groups, research institutions, and energy policy makers.

Support from corporations and individual donors provides critical resources to supplement operational and external research funding for our Center. These funds allow us to expand our outreach and education and to conduct independent research on today’s key topics and interests as they relate to the future of plug loads, energy efficiency and storage, and user experience.
